It’s International Credit Union Day! Today’s the day we celebrate the spirit of the global credit union movement. We also had another reason to celebrate; it was the 70th Anniversary of International Credit Union Day! This year, we thought of a great way to celebrate the good that credit unions around the world are doing; by hearing what our members have to say (yes, you). We asked you to send in some stories of how the credit union has helped you. From the responses, we’ve picked a few of our favourites:

“I tend to borrow the CHB loan around Christmas time, as it allows me to be able to buy the things my son and I need to have a sort of normal Christmas feeling you can say it’s easy to apply not a great deal of hassle and the staff I have been in contact with throughout the years have always displayed excellent customer service. Not to mention often very reassuring. Christmas has never been a happy time for me and my son as I lost my mum around that time of the year to an illness only to be diagnosed with the same. But being able to access a credit union loan whilst also saving just takes one less stress away. So thank you x”

“I’m so immensely blessed and grateful to have discovered the credit union. They have helped myself and 2 young kids I have so much. Whenever I needed help I got help from the credit union. My heart is so thankful to them. The team are always so nice kind and helpful. I’m glad to be a part of the credit union. Thank you so much.”
